The horn raises the driver’sefficiency and controls its radiation pattern tominimize detail-blurring reflections from walls,floor, and ceiling. Rigid, low-resonanceCerametallic™ cones and cast-polymer framesenable the twin woofers to generate rich,clean, room-filling bass. All drivers aremagnetically shielded to prevent interferencewith direct-view television sets.Amplifier connections are via two pairs ofbinding posts, which are strapped together fornormal wiring. Removing the straps allows thespeaker to be bi-wired. Magnetic posts holdthe RF-25’s low-diffraction grille securely inplace and the outrigger feet can be fitted withadjustable-height rubber pads or spikes.
